Quality Millwork from the Name you Trust
In January 2000 Boone County Millwork - a division of Boone County Lumber - opened a new facility at 2112 Vandiver Drive in Columbia. The name was new but we are no strangers to the millwork business. My father started in the millwork business in 1969, states Greg Eiffert, President of the company.
The new facility features a 4,000 square-foot showroom which "helps our builders and their customers," according to Greg Eiffert. "They can make a number of design decisions and product selections in one place. We want to grow our builders' businesses by freeing them for construction instead of chasing products and information."
The showroom gives builders and their clients the opportunity to see products in freestanding model rooms to more closely reflect how they would appear in their current project.
If builder and client can view several different options in building materials displayed side-by-side, it should be faster and easier to make appropriate choices.
And this can be done at the clients convenience. The company issues keycards to builders so they can access the showroom 24 hours a day. An adjoining conference room is also available around the clock.
The showroom has products on display that include exterior sidings and trim; a variety of interior door styles; exterior wood, steel and fiberglass doors including a complete line of decorative glass; interior molding, columns, stair components; hardware such as knobs and hinges in a variety of finishes. Without the showroom, design-build teams must resort to catalogs and imagination or travel to available private residences to view alternatives.

In addition to the showroom, a 39,500-square-foot warehouse was added on to an existing 22,380 giving us a total of 61,880 square feet of warehouse space under roof. Some of that space is used for our two custom door shops, interior and exterior. This space allows us to continue growth in both product selection and shop capabilities. The addition of new equipment and expanding inventory allows us to better serve the builder and set them apart from builders not utilizing Boone County Millwork.
